Terms & Conditions

    1. All bookings are to be made through the Lazy Dawg Pet Nanny Service, by Hank Herndon or associate. 
    LDPNS pet providers are direct employees of LDPNS. As such, LDPNS pet providers are not permitted to work
    directly for the client and infringement of this will result in the employment termination. We respectfully ask that
    you do not place our pet providers in this position. 
  
    2. All pet sitting bookings require an initial pet consultation aka, Pet Social, with Hank Herndon at LDPNS. There is no obligation
    at this point by either party to continue with a service booking. If the potential client or LDPNS or our employees, feel we are not able to establish or 
    maintain a working relationship, all sides are free to terminate the meeting. Once the booking is confirmed all parties are expected to honor this
    agreement. A down payment of 1/2 the amount is mandatory to schedule a specific booking or walking. The balance is due prior to the 
    the commitment of service. Payments can be made by check, cash or Pay Pal. 
    
    3. For customers who require regular dog walking services, payment must be made in advance. This is due to the amount of non payers we have
    encountered in our business practice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This arrangement can be subject to change once a good 
    relationship has been established. Please make a selection from our service package or ask us to customize a package to accommodate your 
    needs. Discounts if any, will be applied at this time. Any dog walks that have been paid in advance, but not used will carry over to the next months 
    service. Note: Carry over is limited to 12 month period. Services are not refundable. 

    4. Should LDPNS or their employees be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from the client's pets, the client shall be 
    responsible for all payment and costs incurred by KDPNS in receiving treatment and subsequent care plus any legal costs arising as a 
    consequence. 

    5. All dogs are required by law to have an identification tag and collar with the owners name and address. LDPNS reserves the right not to walk dogs
    without this required identification in place. Dogs without ID tags and collar are NOT covered by LDPNS insurance. 

    6. The client confirms that all pets are fully vaccinated, are up to date flea and worm treatments, are not in heat, and in good health (unless so stated 
    on information sheet.)
   
    7. If your pet(s) behavior condition prohibits LDPNS or employees of LDPNS for caring for them, the client authorizes their pets to be placed in a 
    kennel/ or other suitable accommodation with all charges incurred payable by the client. There will be a minimum of $25.00 charge for transporting 
    the animal in this instance, plus mileage costs if applicable.

    8. Customers must specify if they wish their dog to be let off lead. LDPNS insurance does NOT cover dogs to be let off leash.  However, with a 
    signed consent form and agreement with the individual pet provider by LDPNS we can do so. LDPNS and employees cannot be held responsible for 
    any injury or accident caused to or caused by, the customers pet while off lead/leash. 

    9. In the event of severe weather conditions, dog walking may be cancelled as deemed dangerous. In this instance LDPNS or employee will check on
    each pet and let them out in garden, backyard if possible. The remaining time of visit will be spend playing with pet in the safety of their own home. 

    10. booking for dog pet sitting are charged at daily rates not overnight rates. Arrival days and departure days are charged as full, separate days. 
    
    11. Should the original sitter be taken Ill and/or unable to finish the booking, another suitable pet provider will be allocated and all owners informed of 
     the change. If you wish to shorten your booking (eg you return early from your holiday or vacation), you will not be entitled to a refund. 

    12. Customers must make pet LDPNS or pet providers aware of any unsociable, violent or otherwise undesirable behavior PRIOR to the booking.
    While pet providers are fully competent in their handling of animals, failure to disclose any relevant information may result in the customer being liable
    for any costs that arise through the actions that could have been prevented through the disclosure of this information. This includes but is not 
    limited to cleaning costs, furniture repair, damage to personal items, and kennel costs or medical treatment. 

    13. Wherever possible, LDPNS will follow the emergency procedures agreed in the information sheet. However, in the instances where this is not 
    possible (eg emergency contact is not contactable) LDPNS reserves the right to make decisions to ensure the welfare of the pet. 

    14. If your pet requires veterinary attention during the course of the booking, LDPNS will arrange for your pet to see a veterinary surgeon. This 
    may incur additional mileage (60. per mile) and time charges at a cost of $25.00 per hour. The cost must be paid in full to LDPNS within 3 days of 
    completion of the booking. All veterinary fees are the client's responsibility. 

    15. If you request us to terminate our services once a booking has commenced, no refund will be given. 

    16. Any additional expenses incurred by the pet provider during the course of the booking must be paid directly to LDPNS within 3 days of the end of 
    booking. This may include, but is not limited to, additional food, emergency home repairs, clean up, emergency kennels and vets bill and will all be
    supported with receipts and pictures when possible. 

    17. The following days are subject to special rates: Christmas and New Years week, Presidents Weekend, Easter Weekend, Memorial Weekend, 
    4th of July, Labor Day Weekend and Thanksgiving. In other words.....all major holidays. 

     WHEW!! Was that a mouthful or what!
